A colleague and friend shared this with me on Facebook.
I think it’s neat on a couple of levels including this person’s fluency in Mandarin (I am assuming), English, German, and now Yiddish (as well as Hebrew), her research on Jews in China at the turn of the twentieth-century, that her studies are taking her around the world (as it did for me), and her creativity so I am reposting it here.
Enjoy!
Reblogged this on Maya's and Sam's Dad and commented:
Something from Kaguya. It’s not Jewpanese per se, but it is very cool to a family with music teacher/Yiddish folk singer in it.
Thanks Daryl! I know; I also sing and am a scholar so this was just irresistible!!
